HLM began on the basis of family, a value which we still hold close to the business today.

HLM Property Management got its start as a weekend only business to a handful of customers and was meant to make a lasting impact on their lives. Our founder, Rick, who served multiple leadership roles for well-known landscaping and property management companies in Northeast Ohio, built HLM to be the “one call does it all” concierge his clients need.

We love our customers, we love this industry, and we love the opportunity to serve you. Our job is to make it easier for families to relax in their homes. Not only do we strive to be the company where One Call Does it All, but we have a goal to Never say No; Never Make a Customer Ask Twice; and Always Impact the Lives of Those We Touch.

Rick Huffman, President and CEO, prospered with a prominent property management firm for more than 25 years before feeling led to strike out on his own. As Director of Landscape Management, he saw firsthand the many people struggling with home maintenance issues, but it didn’t make good business sense to try to meet the needs from within a traditional business model. Yet he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more for him to do. So, in the fall of 2016, he answered an inner call to make more of an impact on customers and the community.
